Phoenix Richards is a Caribbean-Canadian illustrator based in Vancouver, BC. Her work centers on storytelling through children’s literature, with a focus on the relationships between people and nature. She uses a mixed-media approach, specializing in traditional graphite illustration with digital colouring.In 2025, she graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. Inspired by her childhood, her community, and the landscapes around her, she enjoys illustrating stories that feel close to home and that are welcoming for everyone.
